Upper Camp at Saglek

Part of the upper camp complex where we lived. Upper camp contained the radar equipment and control room operated by the 924th Aircraft Control & Warning Squadron of the United States Air Force.

The cliff on which this site sat was approximately 1,500 feet above the sea.

Major areas of the upper camp were the Power and Heating Plants, Radar & Operations, Sleeping quarters for airman, and officers, storage areas and the mess hall. The site contained an Officers and Non-commissioned Officers club, a TV Station, Bowling Lane, Photo Studio, Audio Room, Library and Cinema / Chapel.
