In the background is one of the four Ultra High Frequency transmitters.

 

In the foreground are two exciters which fed the transmitters.

 

All of the pieces of equipment (transmitters and receivers) were collectively known as the

AN/FRC39 Radio.

 

Orange lights normally indicated trouble and I’m not sure why the two lights on the lower central unit are lit. Maybe we had the unit offline at the time of the picture.
