HMS Dundee - Caribbean Cruises 1933 to 1935

HMS Dundee in Buenos Aires April 1935

I am slowly adding supporting information, pictures, and other materials from my father's records to this log. He was very proud of his service on HMS Dundee and full of stories about the ports he visited.

HMS Dundee built at Chatham Navy Yard March 20, 1933

Cruise Log:

This picture of the Graf Zeppelin, dated May 8, 1933, is marked Pernambuco

This picture of the wreck of the SS Marsland in St Johns Harbour is dated July 1933.

The following few entries are tagged Sir Wilfred Grenfell and Sir David Murray Anderson. It is not clear how long these passengers were on board but it may have been until July 29. This undated picture of the Dundee Officers and Sir David Anderson is possibly from this segment of the tour. My father had great respect for Dr. Grenfell, but apparently failed to photograph him.

This picture of HRH The Duke of Kent, HRH The Duchess of Kent, Sir Reginald St. Johnstone, Lady St Johnston in Antigua, British West Indies is dated February 1935
